I know exactly what you mean - my weekend routine (centering around Saturday) has been revitalized and is exactly how I want to be spending my time, at least right now. If I can get my head above water at work for a few minutes, I will write a post about it.

I did try changing the time on my clock so that when I snoozed the alarm 3 times I would still be getting up at 5:00. That didn't work for me either. Oh well. I think earlier bed times may actually be the key, and I'll work on that next week!

I\'ve been wondering about this whole not-really-waking-up-at-5 am thing, too. I\'m thinking 5:18 is still significantly earlier than when we\'d wake up anyway, so it\'s valid. You could set your CLOCK ahead 18-27 minutes early so that when you snooze and get out of be at 5:18, it would actually be 5.

"The extra time I have is so rewarding, waking up early feels effortless." Couldn't have said it better myself!

I've been having trouble sleeping throughthe night, too. Maybe it's the anticipation of the alarm on a new schedule. Hope that Sunday morning sleeping in went well!

I'm glad you realized that experimonths are not about torture.

As for the "extra time" bit -- at first I was with you, thinking that any extra time I might be getting in the morning was taken away by my early bedtimes, but now I see it.

It's not extra time so much as it's extra efficiency. Working in the wee hours of the morning allows me to work without distraction, so I get more done and then I can take the afternoons off, which rocks.
